Good news! Port Macquarie Hastings Council (PMHC) recently determined that they would adopt the Draft Walking and Cycling Plan in their May meeting. This means it’s no longer a draft, but what happens next?

PMHC will now review the feedback recieved. Based on this feedback Council will then determine what goes into the final plan.

BBBPMQ are planning on presenting our petition to Council in the June public forum. For those unfamiliar with our petition, we recently gathered 388 signatures from residents in Port Macquarie in favour of establishing an Active Transport Advisory Committee. Our goal is to advise Council on which elements of the plan should take priority based on need and practicality.

So, stay tuned to this site, our Facebook page and to the Council’s website for further updates.
